Choose your setup
To install the Rork Max iPhone app, open rork.com/ios/install on your computer. The same page detects your operating system and browser: on Windows it shows the Companion download and instructions; on Mac it offers browser installation or Companion. For an overview of the iPhone app, see rork.com/ios.
Rork Companion is the app on your computer. Rork Max is the app on your iPhone, where you can build, test, and install your projects.
Set up Rork Companion
Download for your computer
Follow the steps on the installation page to get Companion for your computer. If you want to install a project directly from the Rork editor, you can also download Companion here: Run the installer, then open Rork Companion.Sign in
Sign in to Companion with your Rork account and your Apple Account. Use the same Rork account as the one you use in the browser. The Apple Account signs the apps for your iPhone.Connect your iPhone
Connect your iPhone to the computer with a USB data cable and unlock it. If the phone asks whether to trust the computer, tap Trust and enter your passcode. Keep Companion open while you install.Enable Developer Mode
On your iPhone, open Settings → Privacy & Security → Developer Mode, turn it on, and follow the restart and confirmation prompts. If the setting is missing, keep the phone connected and unlocked, finish the connection steps in Companion, then reconnect the USB cable and check again.Install the Rork Max iPhone app
Once setup is complete, click Install Rork Max in Companion. Rork Max appears on your iPhone’s Home Screen. It requires iOS 18 or later. Open Rork Max on your iPhone to work on your projects. To install an app you built, open the project and use More → Install on Device. See the Rork Max app guide for the full workflow.Access to the Rork Max iPhone app is rolling out to selected accounts and is not tied to a particular subscription. If your account does not have access yet, use the Rork simulator or the project installation flow below.
Install a project from the Rork website
Companion can also install a Swift app directly from your project in the browser:- Keep Companion open, signed in, and connected to your unlocked iPhone.
- Open the project in Rork and select its iPhone app.
- Click Run on your device above the simulator. If Rork first offers the Rork Max iPhone app, expand Other ways to run to find Companion.
- Complete any remaining setup steps, select your connected iPhone, and use the install control.
- Wait for the build and installation to finish, then open your app on the iPhone.
If your iPhone does not appear
- Check that the cable carries data, not just power, and try another USB port.
- Unlock the iPhone and approve its trust prompt.
- Check that Companion is open and uses the same Rork account as the browser.
