Rork has one credit balance. Your credits pay for building your app in Rork, and for Rork AI Cloud in your apps: AI, search, images, and voice.
Until October 30, 2026, Rork AI Cloud had its own balance, called Cloud Credits. Any Cloud Credits you had are now credits, at the same value. You do not need to do anything. See What happened to Cloud Credits.

What costs credits

Messages

A message costs what its work costs: the AI model, web searches, builds, and generated images, sounds, or 3D models. A small change usually costs less than a big feature.
  • To see what one message cost, open the ⋯ menu under the answer.
  • If you stop a message, you pay only for the work it did before you stopped it.
  • A message paid from your free monthly credits costs at least 1 credit.
  • When collaborators send messages in your project, the credits come from your balance, the project owner’s.

Simulator and emulator

The iOS simulator and the Android emulator run on cloud machines, so they spend credits per minute. Rork passes on what the machine costs, with no markup. In the preview, nothing starts until you press Turn on simulator or Turn on emulator, and the panel shows the price first. The agent can also start one when your request needs it, for example to test the app or take screenshots. The charge stops when you press Stop simulator or Stop emulator, leave the project, or restart the preview. See Rork simulator.

Rork AI Cloud in your apps

When your app uses Rork AI Cloud, the request is paid from the credits of the project owner. This includes your own tests and the people who use your published app. Rork AI Cloud charges what the provider charges, at cost, with no rounding up: $1 of usage is 5 credits, and a request that costs less than a cent costs a small part of a credit. The managed backend is a separate thing. Rork Cloud is free while it is in beta.

Where to see your credits

1

Open the account menu

Click your avatar. The Usage row shows how much of your credits is left, as a percentage.
2

Open Credits

Click the Usage row. Settings opens on Credits. You can also click Settings in the same menu.
3

Read your balance

Credits remaining shows your total, and the rows below it show where the credits come from.
Credits has two pages under it:
  • Build lists the credits you spent building with the agent, newest first.
  • Rork AI Cloud has the Use Rork AI Cloud switch, the monthly limit for your apps’ AI, and Cloud Usage: the AI calls your apps made in the last 30 days, by model and by project. If Rork AI Cloud is off, this page shows Enable Rork AI Cloud.
Two more pages help with money:
  • Payments holds your saved card. Rork uses it for subscriptions, top-ups, and auto top-ups.
  • Purchases lists your top-ups, grants, and refunds. Top-ups show as Build credits, and older Cloud Credits purchases show as Cloud credits.

Kinds of credits

All your credits are one balance. The Credits remaining card splits the total into these rows: Plan credits reset on your renewal date, and the Subscription credits row shows that date. Free monthly credits reset at the start of each calendar month. The Reward credits row shows only when you have reward credits.

Spend order

Rork spends your credits in this order:
  1. Your free monthly credits.
  2. Your plan’s credits.
  3. Reward credits.
  4. Usage credits.
Each charge comes from the first of these that can cover all of it. Credits that reset are spent before credits that do not, so the credits you bought last the longest.
If you subscribe through the App Store or Google Play, your plan’s credits pay for building only. Rork AI Cloud in your apps is paid from your free monthly, reward, and usage credits.

Top up credits

On any paid plan, you can buy more credits when you need them. Each credit you buy costs $0.22. Credits you buy do not reset each month, and Rork spends them after your plan’s credits.
1

Open Credits

Click your avatar, then the Usage row.
2

Press Top up credits

It is on your plan card. The Add more credits dialog opens.
3

Choose an amount

Pick Top up credits, then choose from +25 credits ($5.50) to +1,000 credits ($220.00).
4

Press Add build credits

Rork charges your saved card. Without a saved card, Rork opens a secure checkout first.
On the Free plan, the plan card shows Upgrade subscription instead. See Plans & Subscriptions.

Auto top-up

Auto top-up adds credits for you, so your building and your apps’ AI do not stop when you run out. It covers both: credits for building in Rork, and Rork AI Cloud in your apps.
1

Open Credits

Find Auto top-up under Top-ups.
2

Turn it on

Press Enable. If you have no saved card, press Add card instead. Rork opens a secure checkout that saves your card with a first $20 top-up. Then press Enable.
When it is on, it reads Auto top-up is on, and Rork adds $20 from your saved card whenever you run out. Press Turn off to stop it. Auto top-up charges only while you are on a paid plan.

Monthly limits

You can set two monthly limits. Each one has its own switch, and each one counts per calendar month.
  • Monthly top-up limit, under Top-ups. It stops automatic top-ups before they go over the amount you set. When you reach it, the card reads Auto top-up is paused until next month, or until you raise or turn off the limit.
  • Monthly limit for your apps’ AI, on the Rork AI Cloud page. It stops your apps’ Rork AI Cloud usage for the rest of the month once it reaches the amount, and emails you. Building with Rork is not affected.

Low balance email

Rork can email you before your apps run out. Open Settings, then Notifications, and find Low credit balance email. Rork emails you when the credits your apps can spend on Rork AI Cloud drop below the amount you set. The default is $5. Set it to $0 to stop the email. If your apps run out of credits, their AI requests are refused until you add credits. Rork shows a banner in the project with an Add credits button.

What happened to Cloud Credits

On October 30, 2026, Cloud Credits became part of your credits.
  • Your balance moved over. Any Cloud Credits you had are now credits, at the same value: $1 of Cloud Credits became 5 credits. They show as Usage credits and do not reset each month.
  • One auto top-up. Auto top-up for credits now also covers Rork AI Cloud. The separate Cloud auto top-up is gone. If you used it, Rork did not turn on credit auto top-up for you, so turn it on if your apps need it.
  • One way to buy. You no longer buy Cloud Credits. Top up credits instead.

Save credits

  • Stop the simulator. Press Stop simulator or Stop emulator when you finish a round of testing. It spends credits for every minute it runs.
  • Plan first. Plan mode makes Rork write a plan before it changes any code. Fix the plan in chat, then press Build, so fewer messages go to redoing work.
  • Point at what you mean. Element Selection tells Rork exactly which part of the screen to change, so you do not need to describe it.
  • Pick a lighter model for small tasks. On a paid plan, the model picker lets you choose the model for a message. Models cost different amounts, so try a lighter one for a small fix and compare the cost in the ⋯ menu.
  • Set a limit for your apps’ AI. The Monthly limit for your apps’ AI caps what your apps can spend on Rork AI Cloud in a month.

On-device AI costs no credits

Some AI features can run on the phone itself, with no Rork AI Cloud request:
  • iPhone. Apple’s Foundation Models framework gives apps access to Apple’s own language model. Apple describes this AI inference as free of cost. It needs an Apple Intelligence-compatible iPhone (iPhone 15 Pro or newer) with Apple Intelligence turned on.
  • Android. Google’s ML Kit GenAI APIs run Gemini Nano on the phone, with no per-use charge from Google. Only some phones support it.
The on-device model is small. It is good at short tasks, such as sorting, pulling out names and dates, and short summaries. For complex reasoning, long writing, or realistic images, use Rork AI Cloud. A good setup for many apps: use the on-device model when the phone supports it, and fall back to Rork AI Cloud when it does not. Building the app still uses credits.

FAQ

Subscription credits reset on your renewal date, and unused ones do not carry over. The free monthly credits reset at the start of each calendar month. Reward credits and usage credits do not reset each month.
No. They are now credits at the same value, in your Usage credits row. If you used the old Cloud auto top-up, turn on Auto top-up in Credits if your apps need it.
No. Top-ups and auto top-up need a paid plan. On the Free plan, you can upgrade or wait for your monthly free credits.
You do, as the project owner. Every Rork AI Cloud request your app makes is paid from the owner’s credits. Set a Monthly limit for your apps’ AI to cap it.
Check Build for messages and Cloud Usage for your apps’ AI. Then send the project link, the approximate time, and what you did to support@rork.com, so the team can review the usage.

AI models your app can use

You do not have to pick a model up front. Tell Rork what you want to build, and name a model if you want a specific one. Rork AI Cloud charges these models at cost. Prices are per 1 million tokens. Image, video, audio, and embedding models are billed differently, so their token prices show as a dash.
